This website is sponsored by a group of concerned members of HSUeast in NSW (you can read about us here) and by Kathy Jackson, the National Secretary of the federal Health Services Union and Executive President of HSUeast. This website has been created for the benefit of members of HSUeast.
We want HSUeast to be a union for members, a clean transparent, accountable, democratic and strong union. We're concerned that things need fixing for it to become that.
We are concerned members are not getting clear, correct and complete information through official union channels (controlled by senior NSW officials). We want to communicate with other members about the present crisis in our union but also about changes that are needed for a better union - and we want to ensure that members get a real and informed say. We want a clean, democratic and strong union that operates transparently and effectively for all the members. This site has been created as a place where members who are concerned about the current state of affairs in HSUeast can obtain accurate information, share their views and, if they feel like it, get on our mailing list or get involved in cleaning up their union.

We want our union to focus its resources and will on continually improving the working life of members.
We must make this the absolute objective and priority of our union.
We are determined to shape our union into an organisation always vigilant in ensuring good governance and an unshakable focus on members.
A union demonstrating this by simple actions.
A genuine interactive communication with members, a union that listens not dictates.
A union unwavering in its determination to ensure that every decision, policy and act, is for the direct benefit and support of members.
We want a union where other considerations, including the personal interest of officials, take a back seat.
And of course without transparency, there cannot be good governance, because there should be nothing to hide.This is all we want and expect.
